Route Planning
At Suisse Virtual, route planning is more than just plotting a line from departure to arrival, it’s about building the foundation for a safe, efficient, and realistic flight. This training module is closely tied to our basic pilot training, as we guide our pilots through the essential process of preparing a flight plan that mirrors real-world operations. From choosing the correct SID and STAR to studying Navigraph charts and understanding airport-specific procedures, we ensure that every pilot learns how to anticipate and prepare for every phase of flight.
Pilots are trained to tailor their flight planning according to the aircraft type they are flying, paying special attention to climb profiles, descent planning, and the aircraft’s performance limits. We also introduce detailed scenario-based learning, such as factoring in possible go-arounds, diversions, or alternate airports. By the end of this training, pilots are equipped not only with the technical knowledge to plan like a professional but also the situational awareness to adapt in real time, exactly what’s expected on the Infinite Flight Expert Server and in our virtual skies.
